Short description:

= Tent     = Breakfast     = Lunch     = Dinner    

  Day 1:    
Pick up from your hotel at 7 AM and private transport to Cashapampa where our donkeys and donkey drivers will be waiting for us. From there we walk approximately 4-5 hours to the first campsite Llamacoral.

  Day 2:    
4-5 hours of hiking to the Alpamayo base camp in the Arhuaycocha Valley.

  Day 3:    
Today we hike from the base camp to the morrain camp. Porters help us carrying food, equipment and tents.

  Day 4:    
Morrain camp to the high camp on the saddle between Alpamayo and Quitaraju where we camp on ice. Porters help us carrying food, equipment and tents.
Briefing about the attack with your guide and preparation of your pack for tomorrow.

  Day 5:    
We get up at 1:00 AM to have breakfast (or maybe only drink a cup of coffee) and get dressed. At 2 AM we start hiking towards the glacier to reach the summit approximately 5-6 hours later. Descend to the high camp.

  Day 6:    
Hike back from the high camp to Llamacoral.

  Day 7:    
From Llamacoral you walk back to Cashapampa from where our private transport will take you back to Huaraz for your well-deserved shower.

Not Included:
  • Personal mountain equipment, ice stakes & ice screws. If we would provide ice stakes & ice screws and they have to be left behind, we charge US $ 20 for every ice stake and US $ 80 for every ice screw. Obviouly you may bring both yourself.
