All Hotels, Tours & Entrances, Transport and Transfers (airport-hotel-bus) and domestic flights are included. All tours are with local English speaking guidance. Not included are your international flight, tax for the domestic flights (about € 5 per person per flight) and meals "a la carte" (2-8 Dollar). These are only example itineraries to give you an idea of what to do and what the cost approximately is. We are not just salesman but really organise our tours ourselves so you can add or change these tours in order to get your tailor-made itinerary.

This is the longer version of the 9 days Alpamayo Trek and is the alternative 11 day adventure from the Huayhuash Trek.

Therefore it has been a dilemma to many people which of the two to choose:
Huayhuash seems to be more appreciated in terms of beauty but the camp sites are very busy, especially in the high season from May – Oktober.
Alpamayo is similar in beauty and has less visitors. The latter makes the Alpamayo Trek more attractive to many adventurers.

  Day 1:   Huaraz - Cashapampa - Llamacoral
  • Transport Huaraz - Cashapampa (3000 m). Hike to Llamacoral (3650 m).
  • Distance: 90 km (Transport). Hike 9 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 4-5 hours
  • Altitude: 650 m

  Day 2:   Llamacoral - Taullipampa
  • Hike Llamacoral - Taullipampa (4250 m).
  • Distance: 10 km
  • Estimated walking time: 6 hours
  • Altitude: 600 m

  Day 3:   Taullipampa - Huaripampa Valley
  • Taullipampa over the Punta Union Pass (4.750 m) to the bottom of the Valley (4100 m).
  • Distance: Hike 9 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 5 - 6 hours
  • Altitude: 500 m

  Day 4:   Huaripampa Valley - Huecrococha Lake
  • Huaripampa Valley - Pucaraju Pass (4640 m) - Huecrococha Lake (4000 m).
  • Distance: 12 km
  • Estimated walking time: 6 hours
  • Altitude: 540 m

  Day 5:   Huecrococha Lake - Jancapampa
  • Hike Huecrococha Lake - Tupa Tupa Pass (4360 m) - Jancapampa (3600 m).
  • Distance: 10 km
  • Estimated walking time: 5 hours
  • Altitude: 360 m

  Day 6:   Jancapampa - Huillca
  • Jancapampa - Yanacon Pass (4610 m) - Huillca (4000 m).
  • Distance: 14 km
  • Estimated walking time: 6 - 7 hours
  • Altitude: 1010 m

  Day 7:   Huillca - Jancarurish
  • Huillca - Mesapata (4460 m) and Cara Cara Pass (4830 m) - Jancarurish (4100 m).
  • Distance: 14 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 6 - 7 hours
  • Altitude: 1000 m

  Day 8:   Jancarurish
  • Jancarurish - Alpamayo lookout (4300 m) - Jancarurish (or rest day).
  • Distance: 2 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 2 hours
  • Altitude: 200 m

  Day 9:   Jancarurish - Ruinaspampa
  • Jancarurish - Ruinaspampa (4050 m).
  • Distance: 8 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 3 hours
  • Altitude: -50 m

  Day 10:   Ruinaspampa - Huishcash
  • Ruinaspampa – Vientunan (4770 m) and Osoruri Pass (4860 m) - Huishcash (4250 m).
  • Distance: 15 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 6 - 7 hours
  • Altitude: 1000 m

  Day 11:   Huishcash - Hualcayan - Huaraz
  • Huishcash - Hualcayan (3100 m). Transport Hualcayan - Huaraz.
  • Distance: 8 km. Transport: 150 km.
  • Estimated walking time: 3 hours
  • Altitude: - 1150 m
