COMPANY & BOOKING CONDITIONS Question: Other companies offer a "Price Guarantee", why don't you? Answer: Several providers promote themselves with a highly decorated "Price Guarantee", meeting or beating prices of companies outside Peru. Outside Peru! It would be hard to imagine that Peruvian travel agencies and tour operators would NOT be able to beat prices from companies outside of Peru. Question: Your cancellation fees are higher than those from some other providers, some even offer an 0% cancellation policy. Answer: To all decent tourist services in Peru apply cancellation fees, be it 24 hours, 3 days or several weeks. Some tourist services like the Inka Trail fees and domestic flights in economy are even 100% non-refundable. Make sure you read the footnotes. It would be possible to wait with all reservations until arrival of the clients at Lima airport, then start reservations. This however is prone to failure and excuses like "aircraft problems", "hotel overbooking", "system failure", . (this must sound familiar to people who have travelled in South America before) will be commonplace. As we rely on returning customers and mouth-to-mouth advertising, this is clearly not our philosophy. TRAVEL IN PERU Question: What exactly happens after arrival in Lima? Answer: If you have booked a non-escorted tour, one of our drivers will be waiting for you at the international arrivals exit holding a name shield in the air. He knows your names and what hotel you are in. Depending on your time of arrival, one of our staff members will be waiting for you at the hotel or meet you the following morning at 9:00 AM at the reception desk for your briefing and introduction to Peru. You will be receiving a Peruvian cell phone to guarantee a spotless communication with our team 24 hours per day throughout your stay in Peru. If you have booked an escorted tour, your tour guide will be waiting for you at the airport. Question: How much pocket money will we need? Answer: Basically, it depends on the sort of tour you've booked and sort of person you are. If you have booked a tour with a 14 days trekking tour in the mountains, you will need less pocket money as a person on a 3 weeks cultural tour who likes to try out the whole wine menu at the restaurant. As a standard all expenses including entrance fees at the sites are included in our quotes. If you are travelling on a non-escorted tour, you will have to pay the domestic airport tax (about US $ 6.00 per person per flight) additionally. Non included meals usually are US $ 3 to 10. |
